"I booked through Thame Taxis because I recognise that they are a firm of good local drivers with decent comfortable cars, and as this was to get the mother of the groom home from a wedding, I was looking forward to a faultless, stress-free journey. When the taxi arrived it had been contracted to Falcon of Aylesbury (one of the cheaper firms in the area), was an old Prius, and they had issues with my booking which meant a lengthy dispute over the phone with the Falcon office. It took 20 minutes before the driver finally agreed to go to all of our destinations and not charge any more money. Having spent as near to £100 as makes no difference I’d expect more than a cheap experience with issues. "

"The most horrible journey, I had booked it for 12:10 am after a long shift at work. after 20mins of it not arriving I called the number on the website and the man was incredibly rude ! He was shouting at me sighing every 5 seconds basically calling me a stupid idiot that I hadn’t booked it when I had paid, had the email confirmation and had the text confirmation. After a while of being in the verge of a panick attack as I was exhausted from work and it was 1am in the middle of no where I called the number again and someone else answered who was much more helpful. He explained that basically it had come through they just forgot to put in on the dashboard. They sent out a different taxi which arrived at like 1:20am. I had a 15hour shift the next day starting at 7am. Really not ok, the first man was disgusting in the way that he spoke to me. I will never get a taxi from here again.The driver was lovely etc so no complaints about him or the car. "

Second - I kept in touch with our progress through the airport and thought the driver would be inside the terminal. IN fact he was outside waiting in the car but I had trouble understanding where he was parked. All fine after we found him but very confusing until then. "

"I think the problem was that the pick-up address is on a new-built housing estate that does not appear to feature yet on some sat navs, which made it a problem for the driver to find me. If sending to that area again it might be an idea to ensure the driver knows where s/he is going. The people I was staying with say the address does show up on mobile phone google maps. But once he got there the driver was excellent (I see above that you think I've given him 4 stars (tho I saw no option on the form to do that) but i'd rate him 5. I was only a bit late arriving at my destination and this was not in the event a problem. thanks."

"We ordered a black cab and this was important to us as it was the transport from our wedding venue to the hotel where we were spending the night. The vehicle was not what we ordered (Ford Galaxy instead) and the driver didn't seem to have a clue where he was going. He was also annoyed at having to wait for us which isn't really what you want on your wedding day! We should get money back as we paid extra for a black cab which we never got. As compensation for the disappointment on our wedding day I would suggest a full refund would be appropriate. I will never use this service again and will definitely not be recommending it to any friends or family."

However we did not expect to have to find his location in the car park or have to pay for the parking charges as we believed we would be met at arrivals and the parking cost was within the original fee . The most concerning thing was the journey ,the driver was very tired and had difficulty keeping awake having to open the window , he was in our opinion unfit to drive . We can only assume that he had worked all night and our pick up was his last job for the day . This made the journey a little uncomfortable as driving on the M 25 requires a high level of concentration . This put ourselves our driver and other road users at risk , I have no doubt that this is not the drivers fault ,the company must be pushing the drivers to the limit ,this will at some point lead to an accident . We were scammed out of paying £6 for 'being more than 30mins late' - due to driver arriving early. We requested collection at 12.30pm to allow for time collecting baggage - this fits exactly with our actuals timings as our phone records showed we called to meet him at 12.31pm. "I booked through Thame Taxis because I recognise that they are a firm of good local drivers with decent comfortable cars, and as this was to get the mother of the groom home from a wedding, I was looking forward to a faultless, stress-free journey. When the taxi arrived it had been contracted to Falcon of Aylesbury (one of the cheaper firms in the area), was an old Prius, and they had issues with my booking which meant a lengthy dispute over the phone with the Falcon office. It took 20 minutes before the driver finally agreed to go to all of our destinations and not charge any more money. Having spent as near to £100 as makes no difference I’d expect more than a cheap experience with issues. "

"The most horrible journey, I had booked it for 12:10 am after a long shift at work. after 20mins of it not arriving I called the number on the website and the man was incredibly rude ! He was shouting at me sighing every 5 seconds basically calling me a stupid idiot that I hadn’t booked it when I had paid, had the email confirmation and had the text confirmation. After a while of being in the verge of a panick attack as I was exhausted from work and it was 1am in the middle of no where I called the number again and someone else answered who was much more helpful. He explained that basically it had come through they just forgot to put in on the dashboard. They sent out a different taxi which arrived at like 1:20am. I had a 15hour shift the next day starting at 7am. Really not ok, the first man was disgusting in the way that he spoke to me. I will never get a taxi from here again.The driver was lovely etc so no complaints about him or the car. "

Second - I kept in touch with our progress through the airport and thought the driver would be inside the terminal. If sending to that area again it might be an idea to ensure the driver knows where s/he is going. The people I was staying with say the address does show up on mobile phone google maps. But once he got there the driver was excellent (I see above that you think I've given him 4 stars (tho I saw no option on the form to do that) but i'd rate him 5. "We ordered a black cab and this was important to us as it was the transport from our wedding venue to the hotel where we were spending the night. The vehicle was not what we ordered (Ford Galaxy instead) and the driver didn't seem to have a clue where he was going. He was also annoyed at having to wait for us which isn't really what you want on your wedding day! We should get money back as we paid extra for a black cab which we never got. As compensation for the disappointment on our wedding day I would suggest a full refund would be appropriate.
